Writer Jeremy Adams is joined by illustrator John Timms on the book.
DC's All In initiative remains in full swing, as a new series was announced at this year's New York Comic Con that many have been clamoring to see return. That series is Aquaman, which will come back to comic book shops for the first time in three years. Aquaman #1 will go on sale starting January 8, 2025 with fan-favorite writer Jeremy Adams and illustrator John Timms.
Here's what DC says about the new series:
Aquaman’s powers have gotten a serious upgrade since the events of Absolute Power, and these new abilities will come in handy, as he’ll be fighting giant, water-based kaiju constructs appearing throughout the seven seas, while investigating the secrets of the “Blue” with Dagon, a guide from Aquaman’s past.
Aquaman has generally always struggled to maintain an ongoing comic in recent times, with some runs garnering more interest than others. However, with Jeremy Adams onboard, a writer who has generated a lot of love among fans thanks to his work on The Flash and now Green Lantern, things might take a turn towards the positive for the King of Atlantis.
