NYCC: 8 Deaths of Spider-Man Trailer Released

Check out the upcoming event that kicks off in Amazing Spider-Man #61.

8 Deaths of Spider-Man is an upcoming storyline kicking off in Amazing Spider-Man #61. The book will hit stands on November 17, 2024, and will last for ten issues. The story is being largely shaped by writer Joe Kelly and illustrator Ed McGuinness, who are stepping in following Zeb Wells' largely abortive run on the series. During this past weekend's New York Comic Con, a trailer was released showing off some art from the storyline and Spidey's new, mystical suit. Take a look:

Following the aftermath of the Bloodhunt event series that recently wrapped, Dr. Doom is now the Marvel Universe's Sorcerer Supreme. Unlike Stephen Strange, however, Doom has no interest in taking on all of his predecessor's duties. This includes defending the world from a malevolent god and his minions. Thus, Doom has granted Spider-Man a new, mystical suit and eight extra lives to complete the task in his stead.

It's unclear what, if any, longterm repercussions will arise from 8 Deaths of Spider-Man, nor who will be the ongoing creative team of ASM once it concludes. As we learn more, we'll continue to update you all.
